About me...

Our food...

Originally a native of Kerry, Ireland with a keen interest in food from a young age. I completed a comprehensive 2-year course in culinary arts. This gave me a deep appreciation, a wide interest and the necessary practical skills to further develop my passion for food.

I took the opportunity to apply these skills through wining an all-Ireland scholarship to study advanced pastry skills in the USA for three months. On returning to Ireland, I worked in 5-star hotels to Michelin starred restaurants.

I'm now a Newbury based professional with experience across the industry working in some of the finest hotels and restaurants in the UK and Ireland. 

I have experience at Michelin restaurants and most recently as a freelance chef in Michelin recognised establishments. 

Now I'm bringing my culinary skills and knowledge to you on a personal level. With the flavours of home at the heart of the dining experience. I offer an intimate safe dining experience in your home or chosen venue.

Its our mission to provide casual dining, laid-back service whilst creating unforgettable experiences using the very best ingredients for all our customers.

Our menus are constantly evolving to reflect our clients’ needs and expectations, while costs are reviewed to ensure we remain competitive.

John's food is amazing! Highly recommend.
John made us absolutely fabulous salads and quiche for our wedding to accompany the hog roast and gave us several vegetarian friendly options. This was followed by fantastic scones for afternoon tea!
John himself was flexible and easy to contact.
Many guests asked for his details so they could use him themselves!!
